I have been working in the Bookkeeping field for most of my working life. Today I run a successful Outsourcing Bookkeeping service KD Accounting where I manage and control the Books for a number of Small and Medium sized businesses. We sometimes operate on the customers site but more often nowadays we can utilise the Internet and Web based technologies to work remotely.
We specialise in two main platforms Sage line 50 for the more traditional companies who have their own servers and onsite systems and also now the innovative Web based Business Platform i-Tr@der. We are starting to find that Businesses are requesting that we do much more than just bookkeeping for them, and these new Web based business platforms allow us to manage Filing, Contacts, Diaries and even emails for clients if they so wish.
When Chris approached me about the WillMeOn campaign I was pleased that my knowledge and experience in bookkeeping provided me with an opportunity to 'get involved' and I jumped at the chance. As a 'Not for Profit' venture it is even more important that every penny is accounted for correctly and I'm here to make sure that this is the case!! I am a keen swimmer and although Table Tennis is not my field I see this as a great initiative to raise interest in sport across the board.
