Gergely Urban, or Urfi to those in the know, first moved to England in 2001. Urfi achieved a top 20 mens ranking in Hungary and top positions at junior U13, U15, and U18. Since 2001 Urfi has held a number of Head coach positions and now runs Urban Progress TTPro. Urfi first implemented the innovative Master Class concept which produced William Maybanks and Alim Hirji both now ranked highly in England.
Urfi and Chris have teamed up not only with Urban Progress TTPro to create a structured approach to developing excellence in the sport of Table Tennis but also in building and promoting the 'WillMeOn' campaign. Urfi comments :-
"Working with Will for many years I recognised his talent at an early age. Through a rigorous training program William is now ready for the highly competitive challenge of the Mens Senior game, but to reach the Olympics there is a long journey ahead. When I met with Chris explaining Williams position we both shared a common belief in his enormous talent, and as a result the idea of 'WillMeOn' was born. It is a fantastic to have seen Will develop to where he is right now, but I know how good he can be! I am confident that with us all 'Willing him on' we can get William to the Olympics in 2012 and take part personally in his incredible journey"
